The scaffolding pipe thread cutting machine is used for cutting external threads on pipes by following the theory of chasing method. This machine uses HSS tangential chasers as cutters and in chasing method the pipe remains stationary whereas the die head rotates. Following are the parts of a scaffolding pipe thread cutting machine.

• Base Head Stock

• Saddle

• Bed or Pillar Type

• Clamping Vice

• Die Head.

Head stock is a heavy duty geared head box made up using best quality cast iron. This is fitted to give support to spindle bearings and has three extra heavy duty bearings. 

Bed is a type of platform fixed on two pillars made of finest quality steel. The bed is made up of duly finished hard chrome plated steel.??

Saddle is fitted on two steel pillars very precisely to make sure that that the head stock alignment runs very accurately and precisely.

Apron is used to give movement to the saddle and the gears fixed in the apron are all made up of premium quality steel.

Vice jaws are made of steel drawn from best resources and are fitted on the saddle. Vice jaws are well-aligned with the head stock and are heat treated. The movements of these vice jaws are controlled by the screw present on the saddle.

IMC Tangential Chasers are manufactured from imported High Speed Steel which must pass exacting metallurgical standard. Experienced heat treatment with the automatic imported heat treatment plant and imported Testing equipments, assures that they will perform satisfactorily in service and produce quality threads within the tolerance for which they ware intended.

IMC Chaser are interchangeable. If one Pc. Of a chaser, the set is damaged & is beyond use. The same No. pc. The other chaser set lying in stock may be used and there will not be any difference in threading performance and the damaged set can be replaced without the necessity of replacing the entire set.
